Eggventure consists of six giant egg-shaped structures that will be “hidden” throughout the Beam Camp woods. Each egg embodies a different heightened experience within the world of camp. Every egg will be constructed with a curved steel skeleton and a layer of bent plywood sheathing, with unique interior materials customized for each egg’s theme.
The arrangement of the eggs begins to create a story as campers journey through the camp, and campers will encounter one of the eggs wherever they may find themselves at camp. Some eggs invite campers to enjoy a heightened experience within the nature surrounding them, while others invite personal reflection.
While building Eggventure, campers will learn and participate in skill sets like woodworking, metalworking, textiles, and more. Follow us on Instagram @beamcenter for more exciting news about the project as our Beam Camp team begins prototyping for the summer.

“We were inspired by the great amount of collaboration and trust that Beam Camp offers for young students. It is so important to be able to experience creative, hands-on problem-solving as a team at all ages. By working closely as a team at camp, we wanted to not only encourage this partnership but also invite the students to collaborate with us by continuing on the design we have proposed for Eggventure.”
